  4. As I look at this painting, I see the caption. Life is good. I am in the Museum Of Chinese Art. (Don't ask me why this painting is here). So, you may be wondering how I got to China. Well, you're about to find out.
So. I was sleeping soundly in my bed. I lived in Germany, by the way. I moved there 3 Years ago from Ontario, Canada. It was like 3:00 am or something then. I heard a knocking on my apartment door. I woke up. I was scared to death, wanting to hide in a corner. I knew that that might result in something even worse, so I decided to go to the door. I opened to door.
"Hello?" I asked, trying not to sound petrified.
"You have made a mistake. Come," the huge man said with a deep German accent.
A mistake? What had I done? Where was he taking me? I barely had any time to think before he hurled me into the back of a truck. It took what seemed like years to get to our next stop. Mongolia.
It actually only took three weeks to get there. I was given barely any food or water. It was impossible to sleep in the back of that truck. So, I was pretty beat up by that time. Once we were in Mongolia, I was handed over to some people who looked like they were in the military. They led me to a train. The German officer told me to get off when the train stopped at the next stop. I didn't know how long that would be, since it looked like we were in the middle of no where.
When I got on the train, it was a box car. I was stuffed in with about 20 other people. Had we all made a "mistake?" I Was so confused, so tired, and so worn out. I fell asleep instantly on the board flooring.
I woke up to a Chinese police officer, with her screaming in my face. She pointed to the open door. How long had I been asleep? A day? I couldn't even guess. I was rested, but hungry. I stepped out of the train. Then, I was led into the big city of Beijing. I was led to a huge building. I was assigned to a room. I immediately ordered a platter of food. I ate, then fell asleep yet again in the comfy bed. When I woke, the sun was shining in my eyes. I got up, and went into the city to explore. That is how I wound up in this museum.
Then, I realized why I was kidnapped........

I noticed something. That painting hanging right there in front of me. I stole it. But why would it be hanging up in a museum?

  5. Life is good here... OH NO all of a sudden raiders from Sumer are destroying my hometown Babylon. They are cutting our peoples heads off with razor sharp swords. I must stop them. I grab my two throwing knives and creep onto my terrace. I see the two people who are causing the most trouble and pick them off. The battle starts to die down as I keep hitting people. Now life is good... Not another raid now they are coming from Ur, I NEED HELP!!!!!!!

    2. Get down!!! I yell, wile simultaneously pushing him down. As we huddle as close to the ground as we can, we hear a big boom, like a huge base drum. Then we hear more, and it's keeping a steady beat wich was interrupted by a huge crashing sound. The wall is crumbling! Suddenly the wall we are on starts to fall inwards, towards the city!! Nothing will stop them now.

  10. "Arahsamnu 29, 536 B.C

I hate my life. People say life is great, but I think it is the land of the
hampa. (Hampa- underworld) I hate doing chores, feeding cattle, it's so boring! Oh , my mother called me. I have to go trim the palm tree in our yard. I will be back." My teacher says as he reads my friends Shaylinn's journal. Everbody is silent in the crumbling mud brick school. It's not their fault, but that was extremely awkward. I have never heard Shaylinn say that before. Sheesh. I think my life is great. I mean, we have plenty of food. I get to live in a 2-story house! Wait, I hear screaming. It's becoming louder and louder. The house is shaking. Everybody is panicking. Silently. The teachers point to a nearby ditch. We run as fast as we can to it. I am in the back of the group. I trip over a rock. The entry collapses. I am stuck. I am doomed...

  15. Life is good in Summer, we Sumerians are happy and don't want anything to change. Well that might be a little exaggeration but life is pretty good, We have crops, meat, and animals to help with work. I think that we are pretty happy here. Everyone except for Annan who plans to take over the world but we all know he is crazy, so yes life is good.

  16. I am very upset right now usually life is good but right now it is not. I have a dying grandmother and she isn't doing to well they say she might kick the bucket in the morning but I am not so sure. I sit by my grandmother as she lies in bed asleep I hope she'll be fine. I sit by her bed all night, for my whole life I have always been the closest of all my siblings to my grandmother.
In the morning I wake up to see grandmother in the kitchen... grandma in the kitchen? She looks over at me with a smile only grandma can give you. Life is good I thought to myself as I eat the delicious bread. The end

  17. Life is good well.. it was anyway. I'm Amelia i'm 11 and like I said life WAS good. Today is my birthday and i usually have a pretty good day but... today, wasn't that day at all. It started when I got up and did what I normally would do then the ground shook.I'm really scared "MOM whats goi" Just when i thought I could finish my sentence i'm on my floor. This is the worst birthday ever but, right now that is the least of any of my worries. My mom i think is well, dead and my little sister is crying, I can't get up I think i'm paralyzed so this so not any this i'm used to. I'm getting really tired and don't want to fall asleep, but I do any way.

When I wake up next i'm in the hospital but, only with my little sister. Wheres my mom. "Excuse me ma'ma um, do you know where my mother is?" She looks so afraid now, I'm afraid. "Your... your mo, mo,mom is um, your mom is in surgery." I know shes lieing. I feel the tears running down my face. Will my sister be okay at least?" she nods her head. I feel a little better now but my mom? Why today? why on my birthday? I have so many questions right now.

I still can't move that worries me. i don't want to ask if this is forever...

This morning I wake up to a sound like water rushing really loud, that sound only comes every once in a while and that sound is a bad sound that sound is the sound of a flood an uncontrollable flood and we have to suffer through it, I sit up in bed and look out the window and se a horrid sight!

  19. "Life is good. Life is good. Life is good." I say the phrase aloud a couple of times. Wishing, hoping it was true. Although it's far from it. My dear mother, Hannah, has died two days ago, from heat exhaustion. She will be missed. As my father, Oliver, will not come out of his chamber. I've never seen him cry, ever, except for this week. I've never even seen him sad. Until now. My sister, Valerie, has ran away from home. I would leave, too. But I'm afraid my dad might go crazy, literally. I'm Beau, short for Beauregard. I just turned 17, and I wish Life was good.
