    2. get to me.
"No, Grandma Don't go, I need you" I scream, but when I look up, she is gone. I sit down on the ground, sobbing into my only belonging; my blankie fro Mama and Papa that I have had since birth in my city of sumer. I couldn't believfe we had to flee from my city, my SAFE, SAFE city to go to the boring city of Ur, on the Euphrates river. I finish sobbing, and start on my way.

  5. I think these peoples homes were invaded my evil marauders looking for every small ounce of resources to take easily or violently take from people like this they are looking for a place with food and water to sustain there growing thirst and hunger. They are innocent people just looking to survive the harsh game of life.

There is not much time to write the terrorists are following us. We have only been walking for 10 minuets and we have had to take cover 2 times to hide from the terrorists. I only have food and a small amount of clothes with me. Ohh no here comes a truck. we hide in a ditch behind some bushes. Ok I think they are gone. The sun is coming up. we should eat a bit so we can get there as fast as possible. We are trying to get to Turkey. Look there is another group of people fleeing the area. lets meet up with them as we approached them, I heard guns rattattat the family fell to the ground the terrorist were coming back. hide quick. We saw the faces of the terrorists. Quick run a far as possible. We booked it. We were able to make it to turkey in the end. But on the way we encountered many terrorists and almost died many times. But we will always miss our home.

We've been walking and lugging, and running for days now. Like a river we coninue on... untill, we stop.
Yesterday when we took a miniscule break to sleep and eat what little food we got from our ration. I was on watch duty with my older cousin. I heard a noise...and rush to my cousin to tell him of the noise. He brushed it (umm...end of CT

    1. off thinking it was nothing. He. Was. Wrong. seconds, minutes, hours later, I heard it again. But this time it sounded more clear and defined; like whispering. I ran back to my cousin and he wasn't there. I panicked.
Sprinting back to the camp I tripped, and fell down the hill. Tumbling and rolling end over end. I screamed, hoping they would hear me and wake up. No response. I stood up shakily, clutching my side and attempting to climb up the hill. Nope. I slipped. Again. No. Again. I kept at it for at least another half hour before I heard A noise again. Footsteps. I looked eagerly towards the noise, hoping it was one of my family members. I was reward greatly. Then . . . blackness and pain collided into one another hugging my head.

      What happens next? You decide

  12. Journal entry 23, April 25, 2:30am.

Were still on the run, were scared they might find us and take us back to that terrible life they gave us. We want to be free, so we ran away, in order to live the lives we always wanted to have... a normal one. My name is Jamie, and if your reading this, I have made it to freedom, but not all people right now are slaves. I'm a slave, my mom, dad, and sisters, plus my grandma. We ran away because we are scared about what they're going to do with us if they don't need us anymore, and by "they" I mean bosses. But we found a way to escape without getting lost..... the big dipper. To be concluded.....

  14. Hello,
My name is Kala and I am a Sumerian. My family is running away, well the part of my family that got away. You see, our king was weak and so was our city so the city of Ur thought that they would attack. Unfortunately the attack was successful and the ones of us who got out alive are fleeing. Unfortunately all of my family didn't make it out my beloved father was crushed literally a building fell on him when the people of Ur attacked. Now my family is going to find refuge with the other people who escaped. My family is also going to see if we can live in one of the nearest cities. Oh no I think that I hear the people of Ur liking for us better get going, bye.

    -Kala

  15. My family and I are traveling to another place carrying only what we could because our village had burned to the ground leaving only ashes on the ground and burnt pieces of things. We have no home any more. I am 12 years old I've been dreaming of a town with a school and a house with everything we need. I am going to go to college when I grow up to get a very well paying job to give my children a future that is easier than what I've gone through and done.I hope my mother and father will get a job at the next village we stop at.

  17. The night that they didn't come home, she made the choice. I didn’t really realize just how bad it was until the day the bombs fell fast and loud from the sky. Then everything changed. That night we left in a hurry, and escaped under the cover of darkness. Now we travel with the moon. When it rises into the sky we begin our journey, and when it begins to disappear we disappear too. The part of the country we are traveling in is cold and dangerous. Sometimes we see jeeps off in the distance and hope they don’t come our way.

Today Ma leads, holding one of our last working flashlights, sweeping it’s dim light across the ground. Behind her is Grandma, who holds my 5 year old brother’s hand tight. Then comes Pa, Grandpa, and brother and sister. I take up the end of the train pulling my coat to my chest as I try my best to keep out the cold winds and not think of home.

  19. So the day has come to this. Me and my family are leaving home. This has been my home since I was born. I am mixed emotions it is a mix between mad and sad I am feeling it throughout my whole body and I can have spurts of tears run down my face and I can sometimes wish I could stay behind but to conceal my mixed emotion I have decided to travel in the front so no one could see me cry. I am mostly mad at my mother she was the one to say we are leaving for a new place! My house was kind of full I live with my mother, father, grandparents, two brothers and one sister sure its a lot of people but I mean it was not THAT bad in our house. The worst thing about tonight is that we will have to sleep on the ground wherever we are heck, we could even walk all night if thats what made it better. I am having a mad phase right now The grass under our feet is wet and soggy and the sky above us is dark and probably going to rain. "Delilah, stop up here" My mother shouts "Okay" I say we stopped and then I realized it was a ditch full of dirt "how does right here look for the night?" My father said with a sigh right before "good enough" I say with gritted teeth I through down my backpack and layed down turned away from the group as I sit their and realize how cold it actually is. The next day we got up and started up again after all day of not as bad as yesterday we finally made it! I went into the house and it was much bigger and better and for the first time in my life I felt blessed with a new home.

  20. I am the girl with the pony tail I will not tell you my name, where I am going, and what religion I am for I do not know you quite yet. For All I know you could be of a different religion or one of those wretched soldiers that drove us away in the first place. But then again why would you be traveling in this deserted wasteland with only what you can manage. I guess it is the safest place to travel since the other way has Jeeps carrying weapons of destruction and fighter jets from the other side with missals so big you wouldn't believe they exist. They can destroy a whole town, well at least that's what it felt like when they exploded our home now it is just a pile of ash and rubble. "Rumble of a Jeep" RUN,COME WITH US! "Aila, Come!" her mother says urgently. This may not be the best time but what is your name?......

  21. Nobody had expected it in till the rumbling came beneath us. Everybody was eating their mashed potatoes and turkey,(except Alex, she never joined in on family things) since it was Thanksgiving. nobody knew that a couple miles away, a volcano that hadn't been active for more than one hundred years was erupting. This volcano was named Mt. Colima. Our family of eight all thought that is was a minor earthquake, since we get a tone of them. When I was finished with my dinner, I went to put it in the sink. When I looked outside, I screamed. Everybody came over to see what was going on when they saw it to. There, less than a mile away was a river of lava coming straight towards our house. This time every body was screaming. "kids get you're stuff we need to leave here now!" We gathered all of our really important stuff, because we knew we only had so much time. All I grabbed was a picture of dad. Dad disappeared about a year ago. Nobody knows where he went. It's been a really hard year without him. Without him mom needs to work double shifts to get enough money to pay taxes and stuff, so me and my 7 other siblings never get to see her. Moms also very sad about it to. The day he never came home to eat dinner with us, was the first time I ever saw her cry. Ever since then, she's been not as joyful as she used to be. We headed out the door, got in our car, and drove away as fast as we could. Everybody was so shocked about what had happened in the past three minutes. But not everybody was shocked. Five minutes later, everybody was panicking. "What about our house!" "What's going to happen to my stuffed animals? Said my youngest sister Violet. "ALEX!!!! Mom! We forgot Alex!!!!!" I said. My mom started freaking out. "Alex! How could I forget her!?!!!" She turned around so fast, and told us to get out of the car and start running. She said she'd be right behind us in a little bit. Everybody climbed out of the car. "Be safe!!!" She yelled, and drove off as fast as she could. What was going to happen to my mom and Alex? I said to myself. Please god, let my mom and Alex get out there safely. Five minutes later, mom comes driving back. I look for Alex in the front seat, but she's not there. My heart sank. Did Alex make it? I said to myself. I looked in the back, and there she was. She looked like she had just saw a ghost. We all drove away together. People always ask "How did it feel when you knew you lost everything" and I always say." We didn't loose everything, we still have each other. I hope to come back in a couple of years and visit the place we once called home. My dreams are to rebuild the house and call it home again. I'll never forget the day when Mt. Colima erupted.

  22. Hi my name is Maya. I am 12 years old and I live with my mama and papa, my four siblings, and grandma. Very recently something horrible happened. I was in my room shared with my 7 year old sister Grace, doodling with my new ballpoint pen. Suddenly (BOOM!) a very loud and scary sound filled the air. People were screaming and sirens were sounding. I looked out my bedroom window and saw commotion. People were all running in the same direction. I turned my head to where they all had come from, I couldn’t believe what I saw. The world trade center was in flames there was a gaping hole about halfway through the building! Firemen and ambulance were surrounding the famous trade center. Mama and papa were downstairs in awe. Then it happened again the same terrorizing sound once more flooded the shocked city. Mama shrieked “ Quick grab some clothes and a coat!” “Just get out of the apartment!” Screamed papa. Within a minute everyone was out of the house with a bag containing necessities. “Thank gosh you’re all okay.” Grandma exclaimed. “Let’s get movin.” Said papa. Then a awful thing happened. One of the twin towers collapsed. Crushing our apartment! The city was silent for a moment. A monument, an architectural icon, a building like no other, and more had just been lost. As well as our loved home. But things only got worse. A huge wave of dust and debris arose. More screaming and sirens, more people were now fleeing the city. I didn’t even have a chance to look back. The crowds started moving, forcing us forward. I had a funny feeling that I would never be going back to the apartment I called home. Mama finally decided on a place to go. We were headed to Vermont to stay with my aunt. Papa says she knows exactly where she is going, but I think he is just saying that to make us feel better. As I walked I felt sad, I once hoped to be a lawyer and work at the world trade center. Now it is just a memorial to those who lost their lives.

  24. "Ahmed!" My brother calls. "You forgot your draft!" I almost forgot about my draft. "Thanks Mustafa!" My draft is a stuffed animal that my grandma gave me when I was born, also when she died. Right at home. For me there are a lot of memories from that house, the one I grew up in. Now we are going to Europe because of the civil war in Syria. I wanted to go to Madrid, Spain to see Ronaldo play for Real Madrid. But my mom said it was to much money. Well I'll show her, I'm going to become a soccer player! "Come on Ahmed!" My mom called. "Mom, are we coming back?" "I'm afraid not Ahmed." I break down crying. My grandmother was buried under this house. Now she will be completely forgotten!

  25. Always moving. I hate it. Never just staying in one place but moving each month we never celebrate anybody's birth days, just thinking about where to move and how long it will take. There is this one time I was just 2 years old my feet hurt so much with all of the blisters. Why can't our life be easy. No, we are the ones who always are moving and never can go outside it is always to scary because it never gets very light.

  26. "MOTHER?! FATHER?! WHERE ARE YOU?" I scream and cry into the stampede of people. Gunshots are sounding. People are screaming and running. And my mother and father are right in the middle of it all. They ran right into the thick of it to find my older brother, Bana, who had been at the market to get food.
I was scanning the crowd hoping to see my mother, my father, and my brother walking out safely, but instead I saw a little boy, no more than 4 years old, getting trampled. He had a gash on his forehead from which blood was streaming down his face, like a thick, red waterfall. He was shrieking and crying for help.
    Something inside me broke.
"MOMMMMMYYYY!!!!! DADDDDDYY!!!" I screamed with all of my heart. I hadn't called them 'mommy' or 'daddy' since I was 2. I stood there and cried and cried and cried and screamed, until I could barely talk. How did all this happen? It was utter chaos.
I slowly walked back into my home where my 4 younger siblings lay huddled and crying under the kitchen table.
"It's gonna be okay guys." I said not quite believing myself, but I had to stay strong for the kids. I wiped my tears, and put on my tough big sister face, as Ameana my 4 year old little sister calls it. I walked over to them and hugged them. I kissed each one of their tiny little foreheads.
"What are we gonna do?" Hanan wailed.
"Well, we can't stay here." I said. "We have to run to a refugee camp."
"BUT WHAT ABOUT MOMMY AND DADDY AND BANA?" All four of them shrieked.
"I'll go call for them." I reassured.
I couldn't give up I had to find my parents and my only older brother. "Come on Jodee," I murmured to myself, "They are still alive and well." It wasn't very convincing.
"MOTHER, FATHER?!" I shout and yell. I start weeping again, seeing all of the despair and violence. I cry even harder thinking of my parents and brother being in the middle of it.
    I shout for hours.

    Nothing happens.

I finally give up. They aren't coming home. I sob. I sit down and let all of my despair come out in big, fat, leaky tears.
    Oh no.
I have to tell the kids.

And then we will have to run.

    2. How did this happen? I had heard about the refugees that had to flee when there lives we in danger. In fact just last nights I heard my parents talking in hushed voices about the poor people. But how in the world did we become some of the "poor helpless souls", that the people from the towns surrounding us all became? I guess I should have seen it coming, most everywhere around us was experiencing the same things that I just saw. Oh I really wish I hadn't seen that... And my parents, what kind of horrible things are they experiencing right now? And my poor brother, my role model, Bana. I sucked in the tears that were clouding my vision, steadied my breathing, put my "tough big sister face" on, and walked into the kitchen where they all huddled close. "Guys we need to pack up-" I was cut off before I could finish. "Joooooddddeeee, where are they?!" Hanan wailed. "Ummm..." I said trying to come up with something witty. "They'll meet us there, they have some uh business to take care of." All of there faces showed some relief. It felt so bad to lie to them, but at the moment my top concern is our safety, I'll make it up to them, somehow. I led them into the attic bedroom the 6 of us shared, well it was 6, now it's just 5. Stop thinking about it, I told myself. "Put some warm clothes on, and get another change of clothes to pack." I said with no signs of worry showing. " I'll go fetch some bags." I ran and grabbed some bags out of the closet and ran into the attic just as I heard more gunshots. "Guys lets go, come on quick!" I stuffed their stuff into the bags, and grabbed myself, some clothes my journal, and grabbed all out family pictures. I went and grabbed the wagon from the designated spot in the hallway and plopped 3 of them in with the bags, and placed a bunch of blankets over them. I turned around to see my sister holding on tightly to a doll. "Let's go." I said as I plopped her in. I knew that a wagon full of kids would attract more attention and be more suspicious, but there was no other was for me to control 4 kids all under the age of 5. I started walking towards the door, but stopped in the kitchen to grabbed some crackers to keep the kids entertained. I also grabbed my dads wallet that was conveniently on the table, and set off towards the door, with a backpack on my back and a wagon full of kids and bags. I took the back door and headed into the woods behind our house. It was just beginning to get dark, which scared me but I knew that it would be easier to travel, because I would be harder to see and the kids would sleeping . I walked for miles and miles in silence, trying to avoid every moving object I saw. After what must have been hours, because I was just beginning to see the sun on the horizon, I saw a light in the distance. As I got closer I was able to identify a house. I knew that I could t stay in the open for long so I had to cross my fingers that it wouldn't be anybody with a gun. I reluctantly stumbled towards the door and knocked 3 times. After a few seconds a old woman who smelled like cookies appeared, and no sooner than that did another figure appear behind her. I had to blink twice to make sure I wasn't just going crazy and seeing things. "Bana?" I cried. "Bana!" All the kids shouted, awaking from their slumber. He pushed pass the woman and into my arms. I held him tight. "Where are mother and father?" He gave me a sad look that siad "not now". A part of me crumpled inside, but another part of me rose again. I had my brother, the one I cherished so much with me, and we would get through this together. So maybe I didn't end up in a refugee camp (at least not yet), and maybe I had no clue where to go with my life from here, but I did know that I wouldn't be going through it alone.

  27. Kai's Story

Kai is the littlest kid Kai and his family are leaving from America to go to Africa to help them with there water supply. Kia was sad to leave the place he called home but he tried to imagine what the faces of the other kids from Africa would look like when his family tell the we can help you fix your water supply. So Kai just acts happy and keeping that image of those other kids.

  28. Right now my name and my religion doesn't matter. I'm dealing with a fire outside of our house, and our ceiling is just about to fall on top of us. There is no exit, and a jihad had just ran into our house. I'm scared to death, and he suddenly pointed the gun at me and spat in arabic " What is your family's religion?" I quickly say muslim, and he fires at my mother. In the split second, I run for crack in the wall, leading to the outside world, and jump, and then, the house falls on my family...

  34. My grandma took my hand and she tells me a story all along the way on the trip. And here's the story. My grandma said that they are going on a trip to a beautiful place in a country or a state, and they have lots and lots of money they spend on food and whatever they want. They bought a mansion. The girl Emily went to school in the new place. The reason why they don't have any bags with them, is that they have money and 500 wallets. They were in Mesopotamia and traveled all across the country until one day they slept in a hotel, and in the morning her mom and dad said, "Wake up. Time to go to school!"to be continued...

  36. Hi I am Nathaniel the boy that's walking with my mother Natasha and I can not write, right now. We are leaving our homeland because there's been a war and we can not stay there anymore. We're afraid of what might happen to us if we stay. We can only take what we can carry. We are traveling to see if we can find a better life. We don't have enough food for everybody in our clan so we are going to be farmers and make a new village of our own our life is harsh. When we get to our new village we’ll have a better life.

  38. I can see the blaze in front of me, burning the whole town to the ground. My eyes start to tear from the heat of the fire. I'm not the only one who survived it. Other people from the town survived, but not my family. My goal is to leave this nasty, horrible, burning place and go to a place where me and everyone from the town will have a safe place to stay. My dream is to hope that someday we can live in peace and stay away from the evil people who started the fire.

  39. I am 11. I live in a tribe of 8. It was once 9, until we lost a person. We lost the person to a bear. I almost fell off a cliff. It was so scary. It was daytime. We left in a hurry so that we didn't get mauled by a pack of wolves. I'm not sure where we are going yet, but I hope we get there soon. We left in such a hurry and I can't carry much. My parents did the carrying. They brought important stuff. We haven't ate in a while. I'm really starving. We don't have shoes, my feet really hurt. I wish we were back home.

  42. I was travelling on a trip with my family while I was holding my gadmothers hand. We were staring to get into bunch of trees... and then we heard gun shots,my mother screamed get down. We all hid. I got lost, I tried t find my parents. I started walking and then... I fell in a ditch and then right after I fell there was this super muddy jeep that drove over the ditch, then I saw my family in the back blind folded and a rag in their mouth to keep them silent.I was all alone.

  43. As I wake up to the sound of people screaming and sound of gun shots I am scared. It has been 2 days since the people started taking over the USA. My name is Justin and I was left alone at my house, it was my parents punishment (instead of going to the dance)for me always getting in trouble. But what my parents never knew was the people were going to die that day. As I pack up what I had (a couple days left of food, a M16 for safety, ammunition, a tent, and a sleeping bag) I took deep breath and walked out the front door of my safe, warm house. What I saw was terrifying, men dressed in black with huge machine guns taking kids and adults and throwing them into trucks and shipping them off somewhere. As I throw myself onto the ground I think I am going to get caught, I slowly pull my sling off my shoulder and aim my M16 I was nervous, nervous about what was going to happen to me if I get caught. As the men start walking towards the spot, I start going for cover. Then one of them notices me so I slam my body up against a couple of wooden boxes, I shot one bullet. As the man grabs the now wound on his leg I start gagging, even in my wildest dream I never thought of doing that. Unfortunately the guy’s buddy shot at me, as debris of wood flew up, I thought one thing I AM DONE FOR. But looks like luck was finally on my side. A guy that was not caught came running at the man and knocked him down took his gun and ran. As I ran for my life not looking back at all I thought I was going to get shot, as ran and waited for the pain to come I've never felt it. I was met by a river, I never had anything so refreshing like this. As I drink I think about the people who died or got hurt so I take a moment.

  45. "Run, we must flee before the storm hits!" My mom yells.
Okay, fist let me catch you up on what is happening right now. Me and my family live in a town where there are witches and all sorts of Fairy Tail characters. The most worst character of them all is the wicked witch, and she cast a spell on our village. The spell is an sleeping spell, not only is it sleeping spell but it also makers you fall asleep forever. Unlike in fairy tales you hear about in books a true love can not wake you up by kissing you, you must be woken up when the curse is broken. And the only person who can brake the curse is the evil witch.

  46. "Mommy do we have to keep walking?" "Yes son. I'm sorry, but until we get to the border, we have to keep going." Hi. My name is Kye. I am 5 years old. My mommy, daddy, little sister and I have been walking for 43 hours. We are leaving our country to go to America. Life has been so tough here… that we have to move. People are sick, and even dying! We've decided to leave before we do. I have heard many great stories about America. And out of all the fun things I have heard… the first thing I want to do when I get there is something I read on a blog. Apparently, some people are going to launch water balloons at a mans home. The man is named Tronald Dump? Or was it Donald Trump? I don't know. All I know is it sounds fun!! I also want to become a firefighter. I like the idea of protecting people. "We are almost there Kye!" Father said to me with excitement! "I see it now, it's beautiful! I can't wait to begin my life here!" But… when they got there, life was not as great as Kye imagined it...

  48. It started last week, the terrorists came in to our home and killed my father me and my two older sisters luckily escaped. We went out the back door without being noticed and ran down our secret path through the woods. As we exited the woods my sister Alana, who is only 14 asked Julie, (my other sister age:16) if the coast was clear. From the woods we ran down a path for maybe a mile before we could stop. I asked my sisters what was going, they told me it wasn't safe to stop yet, so we kept walking until we found another big group of people trying to escape as well. When we got to the group I asked again what was going on, all Julie said was that a 9 year old little girl shouldn't have to worry about grown up things. We've been walking for a week and neither my sisters or anyone else would tell me what was going on. So again we kept walking, we finally came across a little house with a barn, the "leader" of the group, Mark, told us all to stay low in the wheat fields and he would go ask if we could rest in their barn for the night, so everyone did as he said. I then again asked Alana what was going on, this time she just ignored me. We watched Mark as he stood on the porch of the little old house and asked the older gentleman if we could stay for the night. He looked over at us and waved for us all to rise, again everyone did as Mark said. That night the little old mans wife brought us all some stew and homemade buns, then after we all finished, some blankets and pillows were brought to us. The next morning we all awoke before sunrise and left a little note next to the now folded up blankets and stacked pillows thanking the little old couple for helping us, and then we were all off again. We are now about 1,000 miles away from home and are still walking trying to find somewhere new to call home until we can go back to out homes in Russia, none of us are exactly sure where we are but we know we will find our way home. So I guess that ends my entry for the week, if I can I'll right again but goodbye for now.

  52. I am the little girl with the pony tail. Hi my name is Sandy and I am from papua new guinea. Me and my family have been forced to leave, a terrible plague has broken out and we are fleeing to Australia. We only have the clothes on our backs and the few belongings we have chosen to bring with us. I am very sad to be leaving my home. I loved it there the ocean was so beautiful and I used to just sit by it and enjoy the sounds of crashing waves. We are going to Australia by boat. I get extreme motion sickness so this will be a very unpleasant boat ride. Once me and my family went on holiday and we had to take a train. I got so sick I felt like I was dying. But I have to go on this boat because it’s the only way to avoid getting the plague. Before you get on the boat they screen you to see if you have the plague and I am hoping and praying that no one in my family has it. I have heard many stories of families that have been torn apart. My dream is that my whole family makes it to Australia safe and that we are all together, so wish me luck.

  53. The family was unaware that when they slept, a burning stick had been thrown into the wooden floor. The fire from the stick spread onto the fabric that had been left out on the stout wooden table from the day before. The grandfather suddenly woke, and seeing the fire, he alerted his family. In almost no time at all, the family evacuated the house. The grandfather had grabbed a small box of treasured possessions including several pictures imaging a time when there were no bombs or soldiers being brought to the country, a charred rag doll, and a pouch of seeds. The grandfather had once dreamed of living in the center of an orchard, so the family was surrounded by fruit trees. There were six woven sacks strewn across the base of the nearby well. The family quickly gathered bananas, pomelo, rambutan and papayas since the orchard had grown a variety of fruits. Then, without a moment to spare, the family left the place that they had once called home. They knew the journey would be long and possibly treacherous, but still they traveled north to a place they could dream of the future.

  54. Journal Entry #1
I don't know how or why you got this journal but here is a little about me. I am just a 13 year old boy and me and my small group of friends are moving village to village trying to escape enemies.

Entry #2 We're on the move again. This is the second village that we have had to evacuate. They came again that day. Burning the houses, stealing belongings, capturing people. It seems these people wont stop until they completely prove their point. We were only barely able to escape the one village where we thought we were safe.

Entry #3 They're after us! after noticing us traveling in the tall grass they sent out a team of people to capture us! They've done it before. They capture people and force them to burn villages and other horrible acts. Its like they would make you senseless and brutish to get you join them. After witnessing one of my past friend alerting troops to capture without a doubt in their mind I have become terrified of them.
I must end this entry and run with all my might and fear as they are coming near. I fear that this might be my last entry...
Entry #4 ... (Is there more to the story? You decide.)

  58. "GRANNY!? GRAMPS!? MICHAEL!?" I scream. Memories are rushing through my head of six years ago when I lost my parents and my baby sister in the same exact situation. "GRANNY!? GRAMPS!? MICHAEL!?" I scream at the top of my lungs again. I am fleeing my country with other refugees. Syria was attacked by terrorists again. We were only able to bring what we could carry. I brought my doll and a change of clothing. Oh, before I forget, my name is Maya, I am sixteen years old, I lost my parents and baby sister at age ten to Isis, I currently live with my Gram, Gramps and my older brother Michael. Well until Michael ran off and Gram and Gramps had to go find him. So I am let alone with no one else I know in a refugee camp. We are trying to make it to America. Gram says thats where dreams come true. I had to leave my pet goat Matilda behind because they said she would make too much noise. Suddenly there is a gun shot which seems like it is from close but I know it is from very far away. I look back and see red and orange. There goes my country I think to myself. Suddenly there is a rustling in the bushes I look back. I scream and the group in front of shushes me. But they don't understand, it's Michael, it really is. I can see him with my own two eyes. I yell his name and run towards him. I reach out to grab him and I fall. But why? I guess my imagination is pretty wild and I just miss my family. Then someone pops up out of nowhere. "Who are you?" I ask.

She is the one that helps everybody and is not afraid to get he hands dirty she loves to volunteer, and travel places.Even though she loves traveling she doesn't want to travel where the community is being forced to move. She has to go to Charleston way way far away so far away form her home that it will take them 4 months to get there. She had hopes to become a writer or a doctor but know her hopes and dreams are dead because Charleston does not have a job to be come a doctor or a writer. You either have to become a Hunter, Gatherer, or a Hunter-Gatherer.She was not happy. Le Le said to her kids " if you really want something then fight for it." because after she really wanted to be a writer and they said no. She said "YES I AM GOING TO BE A WRITER AND YOU CAN'T STOP ME!" they tried to stop her but they didn't so anybody that had a dream got to do that dream and lived a great life after that.
